The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers for the community.
SASSA are going to be rendering companies for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency stated it is actually alarmed about the significant number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the area on a daily basis. The support position established for intervention activities a substantial influx of likely beneficiaries, that makes it tricky with the Workplace to attend to all sassa people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more means to help the servicing of all prospects and raise use of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
